The Ilwaco Hook & Ladder Company, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established in 1887, holds a rich legacy of service to the City of Ilwaco, Washington and its surrounding communities. Partnering closely with the Ilwaco Fire Department, this organization focuses on supporting its members and promoting community health and safety.

Through dedicated fundraising and outreach efforts, the Ilwaco Hook & Ladder Co. assists the fire department in enhancing public awareness about health, fire safety and emergency preparedness. The organization plays a pivotal role in addressing the needs of the department personnel, ensuring they have the resources necessary to serve the community effectively.

Pacific Co. Fire Protection District No.1

Pacific County Fire Protection District 1 was officially formed on October 7, 1940. It is a progressive, full-service fire district providing fire suppression, emergency medical services, ALS and BLS emergency transport services, and public safety education.
Our district serves unincorporated areas of the Long Beach Peninsula including the State Parks, and the communities of Seaview, Klipsan, Ocean Park, Nahcotta, Oysterville, and Surfside.
