Come get carried away at the Northwest Carriage Museum! Featuring over 60 wonderfully restored and conserved horse-drawn vehicles, the museum will transport you back in time! Adults and kids alike love the interactive back room: drive the talking horse, climb on board the Three-Spring Democrat wagon and play in our One Room Schoolhouse. Stroll among the luxury carriages, some used in Hollywood classics “Gone with the Wind” and Shirley Temple’s “Little Princess,” just to name a few!

Peek inside the 1888 Stagecoach and imagine how different life was in the 1800s! Don’t miss our unique Gift Shop, where you’ll find something for everyone, and our extensive visitor information center too.

World Kite Museum

We are a museum dedicated to exploring the fun and freedom of kite flying through the lens of science, art, history and culture. The museum’s exhibits and events introduce the kite as a multicultural art featured in celebrations, modern day design, pulling power and application to energy. We strive to create exhibits and educational materials that allow families, children, and adults of all ages to experience the wonder, joy, and awe inspired by kites and flight.

Willapa Bay Interpretive Center

Come visit a replica of the residence of Oystermen and their families. Learn what it was like to live in a home built on pilings over the water. The center tells the story of the oyster industry on Willapa Bay through artifacts, photos and a 20 minute video presentation. The deck provides a great vista of the bay and shore and is a wonderful place to take photos…wildlife abounds!

The Willapa Bay (Oyster) Interpretive Center is open May 6, 2023 through Labor Day Weekend.

The Center is at 3504 273rd St just north of Nahcotta.

Imagine luxury steamship travel and crossing the Columbia River Bar. Experience full-sized fishing vessels, pilot a tug boat, and try your hand at weather forecasting. Don’t forget about the 3D theater, lightship tour and model boat pond. A full day of adventures all in one location – more than you imagined!
