This proverb is a hallmark of our experience living and working in Ilwaco. SALT came to be when our family blindly dove head first into proprietorship of the old Harbor Lights motel and bar in 2015. Were we naive? Probably. But we knew a good thing when we saw it and couldn’t let the chance to resurrect the establishment go.

The original motel was built in 1972, and for almost 40 years it was a storied lodging and watering hole that catered to commercial and sport fishers. With the support of other local businesses and friends, we breathed new life into the modest building establishing a modern, inviting getaway and place to recharge for anyone who walks through our doors.

We don’t profess to know it all or to think we always get everything right, but we hope your visit is pleasant and memorable. If you love what we’re doing, tell your friends. If you don’t, please tell us. We’ll do our best to make it right.

About Lakeside Cottage

Lakeside Cottage is on the Flood Farm property which sits on the banks of Loomis Lake. This fully
functional farm features horses, cows, birds and many other animal friends. This is also the home of the
Flood Farm German Shepherds which are specially bred on the farm.

Features; Private Pickleball court, large covered hot tub and over 1400sq ft. of interior space.

Wallicut River RV Resort is a beautiful 30 acre forested park surrounded by trees, just minutes from the beach and bays. Our campground offers full/partial RV hookups, cabins and tent sites.
