The Peninsula Suicide Education Alliance is a vital, community-focused organization on the Long Beach Peninsula, committed to raising awareness and providing education about suicide prevention. Through grassroots efforts, they empower local citizens with life-saving skills by offering free QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training sessions, which teach people how to recognize warning signs and help those in crisis. The Alliance also fosters community and solidarity with events like its annual suicide awareness walk, which brings residents together to promote hope, remembrance, and the message that suicide is preventable. PWC rescues injured, sick or orphaned small mammals providing veterinarian care as needed while focusing on our mission of rehabbing and releasing them back into the wild. Due to our current location, we are unable to rehabilitate other species. We are looking for a permanent home of 3 to 5 acres in south Pacific County, so that we can assist all species.

All our funding comes from folks like you as well as grants as they become available. All donations are used directly in the care of our patients and running of our facility.

A new library was built and opened in June 1985. The library was remodeled in 2012 and nearly doubled in size from 3,200 to 5,932 square feet. The library features books, movies, and music, as well as streaming and downloadable ebooks and audiobooks and magazines. The library provides free wifi and (limited) free copying, scanning, and faxing. They offer programs and events for all ages, as well as free craft kits for all ages to make at home!
